Jean Luc is a servant of God, who is a prayer Warrior. He is assigned to Lingwala County in the City of Kinshasa to plant a church. About One Million people live at Lingwala. There was a small congregation of 21 Adventists at Lingwala by the time Train Them 2 Fish assigned Jean Luc to nurture them for growth. As soon as Jean Luc arrived at Lingwala he organized small groups – 3 people in each group for fellowship and witnessing. Each Sabbath afternoon those groups go out to visit people in the community to make friends, pray with them and study the Bible with those who ask for Bible Studies. The small congregation has grown to 43 people attending each Sabbath, 5 People have been baptized so far. Their plan is to organize public evangelism meetings twice every year.

Lingwala is also home to many Muslims. In this community there is a very important Muslim, a sheik. He used to teach Arabic in different mosques. He got very sick. He was taken to the hospital but he was not healed there, and He was discharged from the hospital to go home to die. That night he dreamed of Jesus and he talked to Jesus and asked Him how to heal him. If others are healed why not me? In his dream, Jesus sent a medical doctor to heal him and he saw someone giving him a bottle of water. He was healed in a very short time. The Muslim started looking for someone to tell him about Jesus. Jean Luc with one of the groups met with the Muslim, they prayed with him and told him about Jesus. He was so happy and was invited to church and he liked it very much and he studied the Bible and asked to be baptized. The group wanted to wait until he knew more about the truth but he insisted. He said that he could keep on learning but he wanted to be baptized and they honored his request and the Muslim is now giving Bible studies.

Pray for the Lingwala community
