About Us

The mission of Train Them 2 Fish is to provide holistic empowerment: to build a world with spiritual, health-minded, and self-reliable people in the French-speaking countries of Central Africa and beyond.

Our Work

Evangelism & Outreach Ministry (EOM)

The core ministry of TT2F is that of evangelism and outreach.  Our goals include training up to 1,000 Bible workers, church planters, lay pastors, and medical missionaries to be posted throughout French-speaking countries in Africa, with a focus on retention of new converts to Seventh-Day Adventism.

Agriculture & Sustainability Ministry (ASM)

Though there are vast resources to grow food, farming in the DRC is a hard profession.  Most notably, the lack of a viable transportation infrastructure throughout the country hinders the efforts of citizen farmers to get their products to urban markets.  Likewise, education in new crop growth methods and nutritional health can provide the opportunity for better health and longer lifespans.  TT2F is in a unique position to partner with outside organizations (such as the World Bank and other major NGOs) in order to provide our target communities with better farming methods as well as research into improved transport systems.  Ideally, our target communities will benefit from a balance of good farming, good nutrition, and good economics, thereby making major contributions to the long-term economic growth within the DRC.

The Health & Medical Ministry (HMM)

The opportunities for TT2F are tremendous in regards to health and medicine.  Our goals include training community members in basic health and medical services providing basic health and medical education, and providing opportunities for medical projects with our partners.  Finally, the development of mobile medical clinics must be a priority.

The Education & Vocational Ministry (EVM)

We want to train our community members, both educationally and vocationally, to be more self-sufficient, especially in the skills of sewing, small-business manufacturing, handicrafts and antiques production, cleaning and laundry services, hairdressing and barber services, carpentry, construction, electrical repair, auto mechanics, computer development, English-language training services, communication/internet services, and even transportation services.  Such opportunities, provided to our target communities, will increase the quality of their daily livelihoods.  We wish to maintain a specific focus on orphans, street children, widows, seniors, homeless/displaced individuals, and those individuals with disabilities.

The Water & Sanitation Ministry (WSM)

Clean water, and the basic hygiene that goes with its distribution, is essential to the good health of our target communities.  This includes providing clean wells for our community members as well as education programs to for basic water purification and sanitation.
