The Bible worker, Marhegane, was sent to a Panzi to plant the Gospel seed and he has remained there since May 2012. He began to study the Bible with a young man named Ayale, a Baptist Pastor’s son. Ayale is a building engineer specialized in building construction. As they continued to study the Bible, Ayale became more and more interested in the Adventist message. As they studied about the Sabbath, Ayale went to ask his pastor Dad about that truth.
Ayale’s father told the young builder that Saturday is the true Sabbath and Seventh day of the Bible but he added that it is too late for them to change their minds since Sunday has been universally accepted as the day of worship. Ayale told his father that it is was not too late for him to make his decision to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Ayale gave his life to Jesus and was baptized on August 2013. Three months after his baptism, Ayale signed a contract with a NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) to build temporary homes so they could return to their home after war at Ninja village. Ninja village is located about 70 miles west of Bukavu city. Once there, Ayale started to share his faith with the community at Ninja. He invited some people to worship with him on the Sabbath.
Ayale is now gathering with 13 people and 5 of them are waiting for baptism. Ayale has purchased a plot of land there for a new SDA church building. They are in need of a Bible worker and a shelter for members and visitors.
Thank you for praying for the Ninja congregation.
