The book of Acts reports that a lady called Priscilla mentored a certain fervent soldier of the cross named Apollos for a more efficient testimony [Acts 18:24-28]. The Holy Spirit inspired another lady in Congo to mentor a new believer for soul winning.
Furaha Mwenge is a lady with a special gift. She is a parent of 6 children. In 2006, Furaha’s husband left home for business and abandoned his family and took two different wives. But Furaha remained faithful to raising her children. In 2012, she was recommended by her church to attend the Bible workers training program. She was selected and sponsored by Train Them 2 Fish. As she was studying the Bible with people in the community, she met with a man from Kindu another Congolese Province 900 Km away from Bukavu. They studied the Bible together for 3 months and finally the man, Mister Biladi decided to be baptized.
After his baptism, Biladi decided to stay in Bukavu for 10 more months learning and studying more with the lady Bible worker at La Voix, a new congregation supervised by Furaha Mwenge the courageous abandoned mother and Bible Worker.
Since Biladi is a married man who just came to visit some friends in Bukavu, he decided to go back home bringing the salvation message. As soon as Biladi arrived at Samba, his non-entered home village, he started to share Jesus with his family and in his community. 30 more people at Samba Village including Biladi’s family have accepted Jesus as their Savior. They have donated a piece of land for a church building. Since there is no SDA pastor nearby, the group paid the transportation to Biladi with one of the new believers, Mister Mangala, to come to Bukavu and ask for a pastor to go to Samba for a baptism. As a testimony to their faith, Mangala was baptized in Bukavu. Train Them 2 Fish Congo has given the two (Biladi and Mangala) Bibles, books and a 7 day Training as Bible Worker and recommended them to the Kindu Mission.
