Jesus said that “whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me.” This means that serving by ministering to those who seem to belong to the lower classes, we are serving Jesus Himself.
Since 1998, more than 6 million individuals have died from disease, famine and violence, causing some to refer to the D R Congo as the site of the “Third World War”. This is why you will find millions of parentless children in the Country. Some of them, by lack of care, are living on streets or involved in all kind of delinquency. Some others are easily recruited as soldiers in rural places as their only chance to survive.
Considering the facts above, Train Them 2 Fish has developed a ministry of compassion for the sake of the least ones. The vast ministry to the least include providing education to the needy and orphans. Train Them 2 Fish plans to found a skill oriented training center for the least in Congo.
In April 2014, Pastor Thomas Ongasa was presenting this orphan education project at Martin’s Memorial Church in Tennessee, USA. A lady was moved and accepted to sponsor one child. A 9 year old boy named Iragi, the beneficiary. All his parents died in war and he could not attend school.
Iragi is at form 2 of Primary school, he is attending the children Sabbath school class every Sabbath at Mulamba village.
